Is calling a UTG+2 raise the right play from the button. UTG+2 had won a previous hand with a riverred set that beat my top 2 pair.
Or was it LSM – Lucky Set Mining?

I think the real thing to take from this hand is the overbetting so popular in small tournaments. It really is a study in contrast to the “Low Ball” poker promoted by Negreanu.
While I have no problem with one raising early with a speculative hand like KQs, it isn’t my first choice in early or even middle tournament play. It is a hand to steal blinds with when the blinds mean something. It is also a hand that gives some implied odds so the beneficial early play would be building a multi-way pot.
Overbetting is ignoring or disrespecting the table. The term “betting for information” isn’t part of his vocabulary.
That’s my take anyway.
More importantly … how’s married life?
Married life ROCKS!
