Instant Tragedy

November Nine…

I’m looking forward to the November Nine and how they finish up this year’s WSOP.

The problem is who to root for?

Darvin Moon – 58,930,000, the Big Stack, the player who has nearly 20% of the chips in play but from what our on crack research dept has no previous poker tourney winnings?  Will he buy a bunch of training from some poker guru or just fade away?

Do you root for the fan favorite, Phil Ivey – 9,765,000, who I don’t think he has smiled in the last month. Hell, I think he won’t smile until he salts away another bracelet and all the side action with it.

How about the businessman who said he would throw the bracelet away? Jeff Shulman – 19,580,000.  It takes balls to say that but I think he’ll get cold decked away.

Eric Buchman – 34,800,000
Steven Begleiter – 29,885,000
Kevin Schaffel – 12,390,000
Antoine Saout – 9,500,000

Out 1st James Akenhead – 6,800,000 then Joseph Cada – 13,215,000 then Jeff Shulman – 19,580,000, Darvin Moon – 58,930,000,Steven Begleiter – 29,885,000,Antoine Saout – 9,500,000, Kevin Schaffel – 12,390,000 and then the pain will have to hurt Phil as he will take the Mickelson position and lose heads up on an all spade flop.  Phil Ivey – 9,765,000 2nd and your 2009 WSOP champ will be Steven Begleiter – 29,885,000.

But then again we still have a couple of months to go.
